Had a nurse appointment for bloods this morning. There’s a large waiting room that used to be really busy in the morning, stood there waiting for the guy to finish typing whatever he was typing. The place was empty, not a living soul sitting in the waiting room!! I was stunned at the time. The… Continue reading Health Practice Empty

Sitting Out the Back
I’m off today and we did a bit of shopping down town earlier, made sure we got plenty of lollipops cause her grandson is visiting later for a few days. I’ve looked out the hammer and nails to secure the furniture lol, naw he’s ten now and takes care of himself. Having a couple of… Continue reading Sitting Out the Back
Back Home
Sitting in our living room having a third whisky before retiring, my beloved pain in the arse (och she’s no that bad) went straight to her bed after a cuppa. I’ve had a great week getting away from the day job and getting away from the horrors of the World. I’ve learned so much about… Continue reading Back Home
Holiday in Wales Comes to an End
We’re now leaving Wales and on our way home to the West of Scotland. The week has left me with Pride and Sadness. Pride cause I often heard people speaking Welsh and flying the Union Flag. So many people proud to be Welsh and equally proud to be British. I am proud to be a… Continue reading Holiday in Wales Comes to an End
The Dinorwig Slate Quarry
This afternoon we went on the Rheilffordd Llyn Padarn Lanberis Lake Railway. The scenery is breathtaking. The quarry at its peak employed over 3,000 men. In the ‘old days’ they sure had to work for a living. There’s Pride all around the place.
Llandudno
Arrived yesterday evening. Was looking forward to talking to Welsh people but the locals speak like the English. They say they’re the plastic English. Don’t care, really nice people, really genuine.
It’s No Longer Our Country
Met up for a catch up with my daughter this afternoon, she’s doing great and all is well. What isn’t is she wanted me to talk to her mother, my ex. She showed up and she was a nervous wreck, not at meeting me, I’m not that bad, at what is happening in both of… Continue reading It’s No Longer Our Country
Holiday in North of Scotland
It’s Friday and I’m home from my break up north. Left on Monday and it was great being away and better being home. I loved the journey and it was an adventure. Visited Stirling, Perth, Pitlochry, Inverness and my favourite – Queen’s View. It was a coach trip and many of the people were really… Continue reading Holiday in North of Scotland
Mar 2020. My Walk to Work
March 2020. I decided to walk it to work today. Been working at the same place for over twenty years, but I like public transport. But we’ve all got to change our behaviours due to this Coronavirus thing and I don’t fancy the busy bus at this time, prefer the train, tons of space, but… Continue reading Mar 2020. My Walk to Work
Nov 2015. Before Remembrance Day in the UK
November 2015. You know, I am all for Peace, but not at Any Price. We need People to Argue, and Put their Life on the Line for our Freedoms if Needed. Many in the UK argue for no Nuclear, I hope One Day but as sure as hell not just now. I applaud Us in… Continue reading Nov 2015. Before Remembrance Day in the UK
