This afternoon we went on the Rheilffordd Llyn Padarn Lanberis Lake Railway. The scenery is breathtaking. The quarry at its peak employed over 3,000 men. In the ‘old days’ they sure had to work for a living. There’s Pride all around the place.

Arrived yesterday evening. Was looking forward to talking to Welsh people but the locals speak like the English. They say they’re the plastic English. Don’t care, really nice people, really genuine.
It’s No Longer Our Country
Met up for a catch up with my daughter this afternoon, she’s doing great and all is well. What isn’t is she wanted me to talk to her mother, my ex. She showed up and she was a nervous wreck, not at meeting me, I’m not that bad, at what is happening in both of… Continue reading It’s No Longer Our Country
Holiday in North of Scotland
It’s Friday and I’m home from my break up north. Left on Monday and it was great being away and better being home. I loved the journey and it was an adventure. Visited Stirling, Perth, Pitlochry, Inverness and my favourite – Queen’s View. It was a coach trip and many of the people were really… Continue reading Holiday in North of Scotland
Mar 2020. My Walk to Work
March 2020. I decided to walk it to work today. Been working at the same place for over twenty years, but I like public transport. But we’ve all got to change our behaviours due to this Coronavirus thing and I don’t fancy the busy bus at this time, prefer the train, tons of space, but… Continue reading Mar 2020. My Walk to Work

November 2015. You know, I am all for Peace, but not at Any Price. We need People to Argue, and Put their Life on the Line for our Freedoms if Needed. Hogmanay 2019
It’s Hogmanay, and it’s the Last Day of 2019. My Father said to me when I was a wee kid that the older I get, the quicker the years would travel. Said to myself at the time, what the hell does my Dad know. Aye I was a wee Smart Arse as a kid, I… Continue reading Hogmanay 2019
Christmas Eve
It’s Christmas Eve and I’ve made my soup for tomorrow, having a wee drink to Celebrate. I remember when I was a kid I’d look at all the windows lit up bright, a Christmas Tree at most of them, Changed Days, not that many now. Oh well. A couple of days ago our cooker blew,… Continue reading Christmas Eve
Auntie
November 2019. Was at my Auntie’s Cremation today, she’s the last of the Old Guard that I grew up with. My Father and his siblings passed away years ago, my Aunt was my Mother’s older sister and she’s the last of a large family of brothers and sisters, she’d have been One Hundred next year!… Continue reading Auntie
