Tommy Robinson was visibly moved at the beginning of his speech in Denmark’s Parliament after accepting the Free Press Society’s 2019 Sappho Award for the world’s most important Defender of Free Speech. He talks about the Political Pressure that was put on Copenhagen to Cancel the event and Congratulates them for Resisting, he mentions the Czech Republic having to Cancel. Mr Robinson says, “Free Speech isn’t Free, it’s been Passed Down and we’re Surrendering our Freedoms…Freedom of Speech is Freedom to Speak and Act without Restraint or Interference.” He reminds us that “The UN Human Rights makes it clear that Everyone has the Right to Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Expression”. He adds, “The Fundamental Right is the Right to Criticise Ideas, That is a Freedom, That is Free Society!” How can any of the above be Argued? So could someone tell me Why our Establishment, our Police Service, our Judiciary have all Forgot this? Tommy Robinson makes quotes from Gandhi, Benjamin Franklin, George Orwell and George Washington to Reinforce his statements, but we all know they don’t need reinforced. Too many have stayed Quiet for Too Long, this man hasn’t, and thus the well deserved Award.
