If all the illegally cast ballots were on an even Trump/Biden split then Biden’s lead would hold even with the discarded votes so officials would have nothing to lose if they support discarding the illegal votes. We can only conclude that the illegal votes that should be disallowed are overwhelmingly for Biden and so officials who have certified the vote for Biden would have to reverse their decision.
