With gloomy predictability our witless government is steering us into a major and crippling energy crisis. Two facts are blazingly obvious. One is that a modern country, to be prosperous and with contented citizens, requires huge quantities of energy all the time, utterly reliable and affordable. The other is that no country remains sovereign whose energy supply is at the whim of others, possibly a hostile dictatorship.
