The Met has identified the London Bridge attacker as Usman Khan, a 28-year-old man released from prison on a licence (parole) in December 2018 after spending eight years in jail for Terrorism Offences. He pleaded Guilty in 2012 to offences including Planning and Raising Funds for Terror Related Activities and planned to establish, and train at, a terrorist military training facility in Kashmir. The Judge termed his plans a “serious, long term venture in Terrorism” and warned he may pose an ongoing risk to the public.
