Migrants from France Part 20

Ruthless people-smuggling gangs have moved into the Calais migrant camps and have drawn up a price list for desperate refugees who are trying to reach Britain. The highly organised Albanian-led groups charge £450 for a surfboard and £900 for windsurf boards tied together with rope. They only accept cash. A two-person kayak is £1,350, while a place on an inflatable boat is £4,500. It has led to an explosion in the numbers trying to make the dangerous journey across the Channel. In June alone, 615 migrants managed to reach the UK while more than 500 were intercepted on the way and were returned to France – both figures are understood to be records for any month. Two questions; why are these Evil Gangs getting away with it? and the ‘desperate refugees’ seem to have the dosh, they’re not the poor guy back in their own country, these guys have the money.
