There is a difference between constructively criticizing the past actions of a group and holding an individual personally responsible for the actions of the collective. No one can be individually blamed for something (either explicitly or implicitly) that they were not alive to witness. This is not to negate the horrors of history; there have been too many to ignore. They are part of our history, the consequences of which have led us as a global society to this exact point in social-economic and politico-cultural time.
