It’s the first day of 2023, a Happy New Year to you all. I remember when I was a kid and complaining to my father that I wished to grow up. My dad simply said, “Be careful what you wish for, as you get older the years get shorter”. I didn’t understand, but how oh so right he was. It doesn’t seem that long it was the beginning of 2022! Just look at a child and see how fast they grow. The magic of Christmas has passed for another year as has Hogmanay. It’s now to looking ahead and being positive about it. The Community Spirit isn’t burning as bright as it used to, but that is up to us; we need to take care and support the people in our community, we need to work together. This striking business is political, and it’s greed. We all need to challenge the threat of Globalism, who voted for it? There’s the threats from Political Islam, we need to have the courage to call out who doesn’t wish to fit in to our culture, all those wanting to change us…who voted for that? There are a lot of challenges ahead for 2023. Once again, a Happy New Year to one and all.
