Andrew Doyle is an Irish comedian, playwright, journalist, and political satirist from Northern Ireland, who co-wrote the fictional character Jonathan Pie and is creator of the equally fictional character Titania McGrath. In 2021 it was announced that Doyle is to host a weekly show titled Free Speech Nation on GB News. He holds degrees in English and a doctorate in early Renaissance poetry from the University of Oxford, having studied at Wadham College, Oxford. He’s no mug. He makes the point here that Cancel Culture is all about Silencing those that don’t agree with the fashionable voice. If someone says something whither it be in person or on social media, and it’s disagreed with, it’s all about Punishing, not Arguing. The Fear is there of losing your job.
