The actor Laurence Fox talks to Peter Whittle. He says, “RADA gives an exmple of the growing Political Requirements to act and the Technical Requirements are Reducing…they’re talking about an Equity Drive as opposed to an Equality Drive…In the past there was a Class Awareness”. He observes that he’s from an Acting Dynasty and he was a Public School Boy, and he understands Criticism of that due to it being Financially Difficult to get into acting at the start, but he sees the “Identitarian Stuff” as a new and fast running phenomenon. He agrees that it’s becoming harder for Working Class Actors to become successful, but he makes the point, “It’s the Working Classs Actors with Money that are doing the Complaining!”
